形态描述
体长，稍侧扁。头略圆钝。口下位，几呈横裂。下颌具锐利角质。下唇细狭，唇后沟中断。无须。体大部裸露，仅具发达的臀鳞和少数肩鳞。侧线平直，前段皮褶明显。背鳍具刺，小个体强，锯齿深，随生长刺变弱，锯齿减少减弱；背鳍起点在腹鳍之前。
生物学
This species looks similar to Schizopygopsis pylzovi in appearance, but the spine of its dorsal fin is slender. It is found in the upper reaches of the Changjiang River.
